Nicole Bratton

After suffering from Crohn’s Disease for 8 years and failing all medications, I received my ileostomy. That surgery was in 2013 when I was 29 years old.

I had a second surgery in 2017 when I had a twist in my small intestine. I am married to my husband James, and we have a 7-year-old son. We live in Minnesota, where I work with special needs students in a middle school.

At night, I am back in college to get my special education teaching license. In the winter, I spend my free time coaching my son’s hockey team. In the summer, I love to spend time at our family cabin. I also love to read when I can find the time!
